Transportation
Regional airports. To travel to Vigo by air, there are three main airport options: Vigo-Peinador International Airport (VGO), Santiago–Rosalía de Castro Airport (SCQ), and Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO). The nearest airport is Vigo-Peinador, but flights typically require a layover in Madrid or Barcelona. Alternatively, the airports in Santiago de Compostela and Porto offer better connectivity and more frequent transportation services to Vigo. From Santiago de Compostela, direct trains reach Vigo in approximately one hour. From Porto, various bus services are available, with journey times around two hours.
